A quick message from Wyatt: “Hi, I’m Wyatt. I’m 17 years old and will be starting 11th grade in September. Thank you for coming to this event. I inherited a condition called Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, DMD. DMD occurs in 1 in 3500 births. It affects boys way more often than girls. Duchenne, affects all the muscles in my body, even my heart. My muscles get weaker every day and I need help with most daily tasks. I attend at least 2 therapies each week that when we include travel take about 3 hours per day. Any money raised at this event will help my parents with equipment purchases and medications. I hope to be able to meet you at the Blues Fest.”
If you would like to bring other food you are welcome to do so. During the course of the festival there will be a BBQ for you to use for those that are bringing their own foods.
