After Monte Cristo shut mining operations down in 1907, Jim and Lili packed up all their belongings in the final train in the fall of that year and moved to this area. They found this property and filed for homesteading. They decided to recreate what they had built in Monte Cristo except she only wanted to have her bakery and ice cream shop while Jim still held out hopes for striking it rich while mining. While exploring the property Jim found a stash of gold in a grove of trees from an old ship that had shipwrecked on the property. What was the name of the old ship?
